Adaptive Golf in Westchester, NY
Golf This Spring
Golf This Spring, a group founded at Scarsdale High School in 2018, is working to bring Adaptive Golf to Westchester County, New York, and give people in wheelchairs the opportunity to stand. We originally started to help Simon, our classmate who has cerebral palsy, fulfill his dream of playing golf, but in the process we realized that Westchester county has a need for an Adaptive Golf Device. The closest Adaptive Golf Course is in Connecticut - a long journey from Westchester. Our goal is to help purchase a Paramobile, a device that allows people with disabilities to stand up and play golf, for the Saxon Woods Golf Course in Scarsdale, NY where anyone in a wheelchair in the Westchester community can come and have to opportunity to stand on their own two feet.
